Real Estate has pre-dominantly been an unorganized sector. Traditionally sales are made through brokers. Now, websites like magic bricks are also being used as a marketplace for buyers and sellers. Photos are the first impressions of the property. Currently not much effort in making these photos good.

The opportunity is to help the property sellers in differentiating their property through professional real estate photography.
Side by side, real estate photography may also be provided to the interior designers and architects for their marketing.

Complementary offerings

Walkthrough videos may be provided alongside and charged accordingly.

3d views of the property can also be provided.

Where?

This is especially an opportunity in places where property prices are very high- like Mumbai. In other areas the size of the opportunity, maybe lower.

Size of the opportunity

For a property worth crores, sellers can be easily convinced to pay ₹25K and above. The number of units sold in Mumbai every year is around 50K. Assuming 50% to be affordable housing segment who can't afford these services, and 30% projects by top builders who already have a photography team, we are left with 20%.i.e.10K units. Total value that may be generated: 25K*10K = ₹25Crores.
Similarly, for interior designers, these services find value.

Professional equipment. Starting price~₹25K
Real Estate photography course: Courses available on LinkedIn, Youtube, etc. Certified Courses will help in building credibility though.
Marketing: Budget will depend on the scale.
Photo processing: Learning about Lightroom and Photoshop will take your game to the next level

Time

A real estate photography assignment can be completed in 1-3 days along with the processing of the photo.
